On the evening of October 29, a special event to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Chinese players winning the world chess championship and the 30th anniversary of the founding of Peking University Student Chess Association was held in classroom 205, May 4th Sports Center, Peking University. Xie Jun, vice president of Capital Institute of physical education, the fourth women's chess world champion and China's first world chess queen, Qian Junwei, director of physical education teaching and Research Department of Peking University, and Professor He Zhongkai participated in the activity. About 70 representatives of national elephant Association of Peking University students, National elephant students of the whole university and chess students of Yuanpei academy participated in the activity.
